I am all about Kawaii and somewhat vintage looking illustrations. They remind me of the little polish fable books I used to read. All of the colors were lightly saturated and all of the characters resembled little dolls with huge sparkling eyes. Makoto Takashashi basically has the same concept and to be honest, even if you're not into cutesy art these drawing have so much detail and layering you really have to appreciate the line work in the drawings. The theme of the illustrations usually go with fairy tales and fables. I honesty think back to Lovely White and the stationary items from Morning Glory. These would be perfect for any fashion illustrations or portfolios.
